In Mrs. Love's Library classes students assembled paper kites in honor of National Kite Flying Day (February 8, 2023) just in time for the big kite festival at Lake of the Woods. Students got to color, cut, and assemble their own diamond-shaped paper kites. Some students drew pictures while others drew shapes/colors. It was so fun to see the different personalities of each child displayed in their creative choices. The class sang along to "Let's go fly a kite" from Disney's Mary Poppins. Then, we ran the kites outside on the kickball field to "fly" them.
