Internet Access

We understand that not all families have internet access at home. EPSD9 is committed to providing the necessary tools to ensure equity of access for all students.

For those residing in the White City and Eagle Point city limits, we have information on Charter/Spectrum's free home wifi program:

Charter Communication's Student Remote Educational Offer. DIRECTIONS FOR GETTING CONNECTED

For those residing out of the Charter service area, we will have a limited supply of hotspots for check out. Please complete this application so we know your need.

Thanks to a collective effort of regional school districts, we have a Google Map of Southern OR Public WiFI.

More specifically for EPSD9 Families, we have pulled together the maps below as a resource for reliable free public wifi. Additionally, the wifi accessible on our district properties is protected and will automatically connect with your child's device.

Companies that have signed the Keep Americans Connected Pledge are making concessions so that families do not lose their services as a result of the coronavirus. This means that for the next 60 days, they’ve committed to waive late fees and to not terminate a residential or small business customer’s service due to financial circumstances associated with COVID-19. They are also suspending data usage limits for consumer customers during this time period due to COVID-19.

Local companies that have signed the pledge include:
Century Link
T-mobile
Verizon
Sprint

Verizon is offering additional Mobile Hotspot data for customers.

They have automatically added 15 GB of data across nearly all of their plans, to be used between 03/25/2020 and 04/30/2020. An additional 15 GB of data will also be added for use from 05/01/2020 to 05/31/2020. To be eligible, you must be on a qualifying postpaid (unlimited or shared), Jetpack or prepaid plan.
