Preschool/Elementary

Virtual Learning does not mean that students will be experiencing screentime in place of coming to school. We will support our teachers in providing enriching activities that promote engagement and achievement of learning goals. In the meantime, there are definitely things that families can do to support learning at home.

We will be featuring apps and websites on Facebook and Twitter while schools are closed using the hashtag #EPSD9ConnectEd. All shared resources will be posted here as well.

Middle School

We recognize the significant impact this extended closure will have on our entire community, students, families, and on our staff. More than ever, we appreciate families partnering with us to support learning and address the anxiety the closure could have on our middle schoolers.

Responding to "I'm bored. There's nothing to do."

Google for Education offers self-directed lessons on Applied Digital Skills. These ready-to-use video lessons teach digital skills that have immediate, real-life application. There is a collection specifically designed with Middle Schoolers in mind. Kids can get their creative juices flowing by creating a digital picture book, work on their organization skills with lessons like Organize Files in Drive, or develop some digital wellness skills with a variety of lessons including Build Healthy Digital Habits. Let us know what your child takes on by sharing on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #EPSD9ConnectED.

Here's what the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) said about Google's Applied Digital Skills:  “This collection of lessons is strong and unique in teaching digital well-being and online safety to children of different ages.”

High School

We recognize the significant impact this extended closure will have on our entire community, students, families, and on our staff. We acknowledge the anxiety this may cause our students, especially our high school seniors who are focused on graduation and our AP students who plan on taking AP exams this spring.
